Anna Walker Travel is a boutique travel company that has been shaped by a lifelong connection to Africa and the Indian Ocean, and a belief in the enduring value of thoughtful, well-considered journeys.
Anna Walker
Having grown up in Kenya and spent her early years in Zambia, Anna developed an instinctive understanding of Africa’s landscapes, cultures and wildlife. Time spent exploring the islands and coastlines of the Indian Ocean further shaped her approach to travel design, bringing balance, contrast and flow to the journeys she creates.
This early immersion led to undergraduate studies in Archaeology, followed by a postgraduate degree in African archaeology from UCL, and a career devoted exclusively to specialist African and Indian Ocean travel.
Decades of extensive travel across these regions have refined Anna’s eye for exceptional places and deepened her understanding of how insight, access and timing combine to create journeys that feel both effortless and meaningful.
Now based in the UK, and with more than 25 years in the travel industry, Anna personally designs every itinerary. Each journey is shaped by deep regional knowledge, rare access and meticulous attention to detail, often pairing safari and Indian Ocean experiences to create contrast, perspective and rhythm.
Richard Walker
A fellow Director of Anna Walker Travel, Richard brings over 25 years’ experience in marketing, strategy and business growth across global organisations including Associated British Foods, SABMiller and Diageo. He plays a central role in shaping the long-term direction of the business, working closely with Anna on its strategic, commercial and operational development.
Together, Anna and Richard ensure that every aspect of the company reflects the same care, creativity and attention to detail that defines each client journey, building a business grounded in integrity, clarity and enduring purpose.
